Difference between pipe thread code g and R (RP):
RP thread and G thread are two different threads. RP belongs to sealed pipe thread, cylindrical internal thread and interference fit thread. It not only plays the role of mechanical connection, but also plays the role of sealing. In addition to the requirements for large, medium and small thread accuracy, there are also requirements for the accuracy of tooth shape (tooth height, pitch and flank angle);
G thread is an unsealed cylindrical pipe thread, with cylindrical internal and external threads. It is a clearance fit thread, which only plays the role of mechanical connection without sealing. Thread accuracy only requires large, medium and small diameter, and there is no requirement for tooth shape accuracy.
These two kinds of threads have their own accuracy grade. For threads of the same specification, the pitch diameter deviation of the former is only about half of that of the latter. That is, the precision of RP thread is much higher than that of G thread
